Brava: Deputy Fernanda Burgo demands a solution to the crisis in the Association of Municipalities of Fogo and Brava

The AMFB, responsible for coordinating activities and joint projects between the municipalities of the islands of Fogo and Brava, has faced a crisis in recent months, with accusations of arrogance, thirst for power and disorganization. These allegations have generated growing dissatisfaction among citizens and local leaders, who expect immediate action to correct the situation.

Congresswoman Burgi emphasized the importance of the AMFB for the sustainable development of the islands of Fogo and Brava, highlighting the economic and social benefits that the association can bring. She underscored the need to restore the organization's credibility and effectiveness to enable it to fulfill its key role in strengthening local communities.

"It is unacceptable that some individuals take advantage of power to satisfy their personal interests, instead of working for the common good," said the deputy. "We urgently need to put an end to this sad situation and ensure that the AMFB is managed in a transparent, accountable manner and to the benefit of all citizens."
